Taijul Islam became the 1st man in the world who got hat-trick by an ODI debutant. 

At 1st December 2014 in Chittagong, Zimbabwe out for 128 and spurred the home team - Bangladesh to their second 5-0 series win. In that match Bangladesh won with 25.3 overs & 5 wickets to spare, with Mahmudullah & Sabbir Rahman on 51 & 13 respectively. 

The main story of that match was Bangladesh's spin attack. Taijul who replaced by Rubel Hossain, took his 1st ODI wicket by trapping Solomon Mire lbw at 26.1 over. He got his second wicket by bowled out Paniyangara at the last ball of 27th over. At the 29th over he makes the record by taking 2 wickets of J. Nyumbu (lbw) & TL Chatara (bowled out) at the first & second ball And he got hat-trick in his debutant and his bowling figures of 4/11 in 7 overs. It is the record of 43 years ODI cricket history.




Taijul Islam became the 116th player to represent Bangladesh in ODI and 2207th overall in the history of fifty over cricket. He is now the 4th player of Bangladesh to take an ODI hat trick after Shahadat Hossain; Abdur Razzak and Rubel Hossain.
